Curtis Cassidy was in Abbotsford, B.C., when they were handing out the prizes at the 114th edition of the legendary Frontier Days rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyo. Obviously, he didn’t qualify for Sunday’s championship round of the $900,000 rodeo. But they had some prizes for him.

Call it true grit. Luke Creasy had been on the trail for eight days working six rodeos from Lovington, N.M., to LaCrete, Alta. The 21-year-old bareback rider, in his third year as a pro, finally got to sleep in a bed last Wednesday.
